01Materials Guide

We publish what
others hide.

Two fibres, both chosen for Malaysian conditions. Every spec published. No poetic marketing — just what the fabric is and what it does.

02Thread Count, Explained

Why “1000TC” means nothing.

Thread count measures how many threads are woven into one square inch — horizontally (weft) and vertically (warp). A genuine 300TC from a single-ply ELS cotton yarn is a great sheet.

The “1000TC” trick: take a 4-ply twisted yarn, count each strand as a separate thread, and multiply the real count by four. The sheet is still only 250 threads per inch — it's just heavier, less breathable, and likely made from shorter, cheaper fibres.

We publish our actual count, our yarn ply, and our fibre specification. You can hold us to it.

03The Two Fibres

ELS Cotton

300–400 TC (real)

Extra-long staple · Single-ply 60s–80s yarn · Egyptian or Pima origin

Extra-long staple means the cotton fibres are longer than standard. Longer fibres twist into stronger, smoother, more uniform yarns — which produce a sheet that feels softer from the first wash, grows softer over time, and holds shape longer than short-staple alternatives.

We use single-ply yarn. This is slower and more expensive to produce, but the result is a lighter, more breathable weave — which matters in a tropical climate.

Breathable — suits Malaysia's warm, humid nights

Softens with every wash, not after years

Durable — colour-holds and resists pilling

Real 300–400TC, single-ply, verified

TENCEL™ Lyocell

Moisture-wicking

Closed-loop production · Lenzing-certified · Sustainably sourced

TENCEL Lyocell is produced from wood pulp in a closed-loop process where 99% of the solvent used is recovered and reused. The result is a fibre with a smooth cross-section that reflects light and wicks moisture away from skin faster than cotton.

For hot sleepers in Malaysia — people who wake up feeling damp — TENCEL is the honest recommendation. It regulates better, dries faster, and the micro-smooth weave reduces friction for sensitive skin.

Up to 50% more moisture absorption than cotton

Naturally temperature-regulating

Closed-loop production — lower environmental footprint

Exceptionally smooth — low friction on skin

04Care Instructions

ELS Cotton

  1. 01

    Wash at 30–40°C, gentle cycle
